Noah was "blameless among the people of his time." (Genesis 6:9, NIV). As I reflected upon this, I realized that I am most definitely not blameless among the people of my time. I know that we all fall short of the glory of God, that's a given. However, shouldn't we all strive to be more like Noah? Noah found favor in God's eyes because he followed God's command to build the ark. It made me examine myself to see if God were to ask me to do something, would I be like Noah and do what He has asked of me? Or would I ignore God and try to do it my own way?

Lord,
Help me to follow Noah's example to do what You ask.
In Jesus' name.
Amen.

Thanks for reading, and God bless!

What is the appropriate age to let a child have a cell phone?

I got my first cell phone when I was eighteen, and about to move out. I think that if the child is old enough to be out without parents being present, but is also responsible enough to call if they're going to be late, or are in trouble, etc. then they should be able to have one. So maybe about 16-17.
